We visited the client and assessed the pool. — Step 1: Our team begins by visiting the client’s property to thoroughly assess the condition of the pool, and discuss what the owner wants to do with this area.

The client chose Partial Pool Removal. — Step 2: After careful consideration, the client chooses partial pool removal as the best option for their needs, balancing budget and future use of the yard.

We started the demolition right away. — Step 3: We begin the demolition process, taking care to work efficiently while minimizing disruption to the surrounding area.

We broke one side of the pool to clear the way for the excavator. — Step 4: The first step of demolition involves breaking down one side of the pool, clearing the way for our heavy equipment, such as the excavator.

A hole was punched in the pool's bottom section. — Step 5: To ensure proper drainage, we punch a hole in the bottom section of the pool, allowing water to escape as we work.

We systematically broke the bottom part of the pool. — Step 6: Our team continues by breaking up the bottom of the pool, carefully working section by section to control the demolition process.

Rain filled the pool, so we drained it and continued the process. — Step 7: Unfortunately, rain delayed the project, and when we returned, the pool had filled with water again.

We drained the rainwater and continued the process. — Step 8: We quickly drained the rainwater from the pool so that we could get back to work and continue with the demolition.

Once drained, we broke more sections of the pool’s bottom. — Step 9: Once the water was drained, we resumed breaking up the remaining sections of the pool's bottom.

We broke some parts of the deck. — Step 12: We move on to breaking sections of the pool deck, making room for the next stage of the removal.

Part of the deck was removed and filled in. — Step 13: One side of the deck is fully removed, and we start filling in the empty space with dirt.

We do the same to the other side of the pool, we break it. Then fill it to the pool. — Step 14: The process is repeated on the opposite side – the deck is broken down, and we continue filling in the pool area.

We move the large concrete blocks inside the pool, to fill it in. — Step 15: With the deck removed, we begin the main stage of filling in the pool itself, ensuring it is compacted as we go.

We break the other side of the pool deck and fill it in. — Step 16: The opposite side of the pool deck is demolished, and we fill the area with dirt to ensure consistency.

We remove the large concrete blocks here also and fill it inside the pool. — Step 17: Our team gathers and moves the larger concrete blocks inside the pool area, while the excavator levels the area where the blocks were removed.

Process before we start the grading — Step 18: We carefully assess the site before starting the grading process to ensure everything is progressing smoothly.

The pool was graded, and soil was added to the site. — Step 19: The pool area is graded, and additional soil is added to begin the leveling process.

More soil was added to ensure leveling. — Step 20: We continue adding more soil to ensure the area is perfectly level.

The third layer of soil was added for leveling. — Step 21: This marks the third layer of soil we’ve added for proper leveling, ensuring the ground is stable and ready for the next phase.

Leveling and compacting is almost done. — Step 22: The area is leveled and compacted to create a firm foundation for landscaping.

The Process of Partial Pool Removal

Initial Consultation and Estimate: We assess your pool and yard, we will explain the process, and provide a detailed estimate of how we will approach the project and how much it will cost you.
Permits: Once you pick an option (full or partial), one of our team members will obtain all the required permits. You will receive an update on whether we can start the project on the same day.
Draining the pool: Once we have all of the permits and before we start the demolition, we will ensure that there is no more water in the pool.
Demolition: After draining all of the water in the pool, we will start to break down the top section of the pool.
Proper Drainage: We will drill or punch holes in the remaining shell to make sure the water has proper drainage and avoid buildup.
Backfilling: We will fill the area with clean dirt, rocks, and gravel, compacted in layers to prevent settling.
Grading and Cleanup: After filling the pool, we level, grade and compact the surface for final touches, after that we will haul away all the remaining waste and debris in the site, leaving it ready for grass or other outdoor features.
